Super six, Pitching and Lead into spring break

Well Mady and Brad have started tennis and baseball and track. Mady is playing tennis and playing doubles. She was trying to throw the discus in track but hasn’t been in the top 4 yet. She wants to make the super 6 which means she plays all 6 sports at junior high so she gets an award for that. They have her running the 800 and she hates it. But I am very proud of her for making a commitment to attaining this goal. She seems to be having a great 7th grade year. She has started golf lessons. It looks like she really likes it and I think she will be very good. It looks like she will be in the honor society and all sports so she is very involved.

Brad is continueing pitching lessons and baseball has started. He is the top catcher right now and we tried out all the boys who wanted to pitch. Brad finally got his change and struck out the first three batters he faced. I was very proud of him and the lessons have paid off. He also seems to be wanting to play more. He finally got a hit the other night. He had been struggling at the plate and hit a hard grounder to second. He got thrown out but it was a hard hit. He has pitched twice now in scrimmages and the second time they hit him so he got frustrated and walked a few. But hopefully he will settle down. But I am very very proud of him. The other kids dont have the mechanics and you can tell it is important to him.
I started this post before spring break and didn’t finish it I will close now add my pictures then start another about spring break and get ya’ll caught up.
