Overtime, Baseball, Trailer and Lizzie’s Puppies

The month of January is almost over and the new year has started pretty good. I spent one more weekend at the deer lease with Chad and wenke. I took my last bottle of my first batch of wine. They liked it and I was proud of how it came out. We are making more now and it should be ready in about a month. I have been watching the NFL playoffs and there has been some upsets. I have started my diet and stopped drinking for awhile. This weekend wasn’t too bad. I know I have to watch myself at party’s and dinners but I have committed myself to stay with the program. We haven’t done much the last coupole of weeks. Mady has been busy with basketball and her team is playing very well. She scored 6 points in a tournament game and that was good because she aggressively went to the basket on a drive. Brad had his first basketball game and we lost 13-11. He wasn’t as aggressive as he has been maybe it’s because of first game jitters. This weekend the Milliorn kids both lost their games in overtime.
Brad is signed up for baseball and we need to get into more of a routine for him pitching. I am looking forward to it and anxious to see how he does there and behind the plate.
I am having a trailer built for my four-wheeler. The Ag-mechanics students are building it and I should get it sometime in March. They want to show it at the rodeo and then I can have it. Our dog Lizzie should be having puppies within the next couple of weeks. We have everything ready with the pool and I even took her to the vet. We plan on keeping one of her puppies this time. She is 6 and at the age where we shouldn’t breed her anymore. It will be exciting and dealing with a new puppy is gonna irritate me but I feel we need to do it.
I will be bottling up my last batch of wine tonight. It still has to sit for another month though. And I wil not be drinking any of it for awhile.
Enough for now
Ya’ll be safe out there!!

Pajamas, Boyfriend, Cottonbowl, and Ground Force Drifter

Christmas was pretty good this year I think the kids got everything they wanted. We didn’t hunt over the holidays but Mady and Brad both have shot deer this year. Next year we will focus on getting a big one. Tres wanted boots and I was able to find the ones she liked. I usually don’t wear long pants pajamas but Tressa’s mom bought me some Mickey Mouse ones and I have enjoyed wearing them. Basically because they are Disney, my favorite place in the world. She also got me some Texans slippers so I am set for relaxing. When the new year gets here I wanna write more on my blog and also write more about my life in the past. I am gonna stop drinking for awhile and get healthy and lose some pounds. Tressa and the kids got me and food saver vacuum packer. I am very excited about making sausage and vacuum packing it. I also wanna cook chicken and whatever else on the weekend and seal it all up.
Brad got a Groundforce Drifter from santa. It is a really cool go kart that is low to the ground and all the kids love it. Mady got a radio phone charger and it stays in her room and her phone plugs in. She has really been acting like a teenager. She has a little boyfriend named Harrison Lee. He seems like a good kid but she is my baby so I am a little freaked out about it. Funny thing is before they were boyfriend and girlfriend he talked to me all the time now the only thing he says is “hi Mr. Milliorn”. I think she really likes him and they text and chat and he goes to some of her games. He comes over alot and seems to be nice. Tressa really likes him and has him in class so that is a good thing. I just get nervous wanting all this to slow down. For 12 years I was the only male she wanted to hold her hand or make her happy. It just makes me sad. I am happy for her but sad for me. I am very proud of her though for how she is handling it. Some of her friends are goofy and boy crazy out in public. Mady seems to be reserved and I appreciate that. She also seems to tel us alot about how she feels about him so I am happy about that also.
The year came to a close and we had a good New Years at the house. Friends came and went through the night. We had a bunch of 7th graders over and I set up a light in the driveway and we had a bunch of food. It was really good and Mady and Brad had a blast with their friends.
My birthday we didn’t do much. We didn’t even go eat or anything. I can’t even remeber what we did friday night of my birthday. Maybe Mady had a game or something. But I know we didn’t do much because I didn’t open my present until the next day. Oh I know what it was we went to Chris Bedford’s parents to watch the Cotton bowl. It was pretty cool. Beau and Brandee, Dave, Bedford and his wife and Frank Wetuski along with Goldstraw were all there. We used to hang out there in high school and Beau ask Bedford’s mom if we could watch the game there like the old days and she said yes. the funny thing was that in the old days we would have a ton of beer and no food. This time all the wives brought a dish and we had more food than we did beer. It was a good celebration and LSU won so Mady was happy.
The year ended , my birthday was over and it was time to start my new years resolution healthy and lose weight. More to come…… Ya’ll be safe out there!!

Texans, MNF,Cops and Neu

It has been forever since I have posted. I have been putting it off for so long. I have been doing and seeing things I wanted to post just have not made time. I plan on making time from now on. Alot has happened. The Texans closed the season 6-10 alot of people were screaming for Kubiak to be fired. I wasn’t I just felt like he needed a new defensive coordinator. We that ended up happening and now we hired Wade Phillips. I am pretty excited because he brings instnt credibility to our defense. The last home game though we had a good tailgate. Some police officers I work with at the high school . Me and Tres and the kids set up and the parking lot was almost empty. It was a 3:00 game and we got there at 11:30 so we really were close. It was cold and windy and tres had made chili. I also brought some sausage. Jason Lapoint and Norman Pocs showed. I have known them for quite awhile and they work as SRO officers at DPISD. We had a good time. Oh, I also made cornbread with sausage in it. I had made some over christmas and it has been a hit. I know this may be a little not in order. But it’s been long since I wrote so I am gonna break them up into several blog’s. Anyway we had beers and ate and Lapoint brought a great enchilada dip. The Texans ended up winning and it was a great game. Afterward we went to Mark and Brenda Neu’s to watch the Seahawks. He is a big Seahawks fan. They beat St. louis to make the playoffs. Me and Mark have become real good buddies. He has went through some tough times lately with him having cancer. I hope I was a good friend during that time and I hope I can continue. Me and Tres have a good time with them. I have many friends who I have grown up with. and he is one of the guys I have met that since I have been an adult has becoime good friends with.
Well the Texans season ended with the firing of a the DC and hiring of Wade Phillips. I am really excited for next year and have even thought of trying to secure two more season tickets so the kids can go with us. They are getting at the age where they want to go to every game.
We also took them to the Monday Night Football game. We took the kids then and made chili and sausage as well. It was cold also and we met Natalie and Adam Clanton. We have known her since she was in high school and she dated jake Jordan who lived with us and passed away. (that is a whole nother story all together for a later date) andyway Adam works for channel 2 and I have posted about him before when we saw him at the Sam Houston game. Anyway they came out as well as Dale and cheryl and Bull and Summer. Chipper Holt was walking by and I saw him and they came over to taste chili as well. Tres makes very good deer chili and everyone complimented on it that night. Texans lost to the Ravens in overtime.
The Texans have been snakebiut all year and have lost in the final minutes of about 5 games. One or two plays here and there and we are 10-6 or 11-5. That is what I am getting ready for next year. I will end this post and close the Texans season. We had a good time tailgating and hopefully made good memories with the kids.
Go Texans!!!!!
Next post coming soon
Ya’ll be safe out there!!
